How to raise your vibration

1. Practice gratitude

Gratitude is by far one of the most incredible ways to raise your vibes and cultivate positive energy. It’s so common to want what we don’t have and to focus on what we lack, instead of remembering to be grateful for what we have.

What relationships are most meaningful to you? What incredible experiences have you had and what life lessons have you been fortunate enough to learn? It’s easy to lose perspective and dwell on things that we can’t control. But practicing gratitude helps us feel good and attract even more great things into our life!

 2. Listen to music

Music is such a powerful way to change your mood and instantly raise your vibration! What kind of songs get you energized? What lyrics make you feel good? Personally I love something like Beyonce to get into some high-vibes because she’s such a powerful and empowering woman!

 3. Surround yourself with good energy

Feeling a bit negative or low-vibe? Surround yourself with good energy! Do you have any friends or family members who have positive energy? Invite someone out for coffee, host a little party, or head out into a crowd. I love going to a big sports game, not because I care about sports, but because I just LOVE the energy! There’s something so exciting and refreshing about a ton of people gathered for no reason expect to have fun.

 4. Be authentic

Raise your vibrations by being your authentic self. To me, authenticity means saying what’s on your mind, being real and honest with others, and being aligned with your morals and values. Does what you say to others reflect how you truly feel? Are your actions reflecting who you want to be as a person? Are you being yourself, even when it feels vulnerable? These are some good questions to ask in order to be more authentic!

 5. Have a growth mindset

Another way to raise your vibrations and cultivate positivity is by having a growth mindset. Think about how fast kids grow and learn as they’re growing up. They are constantly learning new lessons and developing new skills, right?

As adults, we should try our best to continue learning and growing! At no point, should we ever think, “I’ve learned everything I need to know.” There is always SO much to learn about yourself, others, and the world around us.

6. Be intentional with your habits

How do you spend your time? What does your daily schedule look like and what things do you do every single day? Your habits become your lifestyle, so it’s important to be intentional about what you do each day.

Maybe you wake up and scroll on your phone for an hour or maybe you drink a large sugary drink from Starbucks every morning. I think sometimes we have these habits, and we get so used to them that we almost forget we have them.

 7. Eat healthy, whole, raw, plant based foods

There are so many benefits to nourishing your body with whole foods. Try upping your fruit and veggie intake and feel your energy increase, your mental clarity increase, and raise your vibrations! So much of our food is full of chemicals and really nasty, unnatural ingredients. While they taste good and can be incredibly tempting, I truly believe these processed foods can affect us negatively emotionally, mentally, and physically.

 8. Practice mindfulness and meditation

At their core, practicing mindfulness and meditation is the art of being present in the here and now. It’s being aware of your senses, your thoughts, and your feelings, without passing judgement. To learn more about mindfulness, check out these easy mindfulness activities you can do daily.

 9. Spend quality time in nature

I am such a nature-girl and really value my time in the fresh air in the great outdoors! I think spending time in nature is a really powerful way to raise your vibrations. One reason is because I think it takes us back to our roots and reminds us how vast and incredible the universe is. There’s nothing like standing on the top of a mountain, looking at the ocean, or standing under a waterfall to instantly feel connected to the Earth.

 10. Stop comparing yourself to others

Comparison is such a trap that feels so easy to get stuck in. Especially with the rise of social media and people constantly posting their seemingly perfect lives. Do you ever scroll on Instagram and all of a sudden realize how awful you feel? I’ve definitely experienced feelings of jealousy, annoyance, and negativity while looking at other people’s feeds.

It can be really easy to look at other people’s lives and feel like you’re not as good, or as pretty, or as capable. But everyone’s journey is so different and life is not a race. We’re all just trying to figure it out and do our best! Comparison only brings our vibes down.

 11. Be encouraging and supportive to others

I recently heard someone say, “Someone else’s success is not your failure” and I thought this was such an important reminder! I think we, especially women, can easily get caught up in feeling jealous or unhappy for others when they are doing well. But being supportive and encouraging to others is SO needed in this world. You never know how far a compliment or word of encouragement might go.

 12. Declutter your home

Raise your vibrations by decluttering your home! How much random stuff do you keep around that you never actually use? Be intentional about your space and what you keep in it! For some good questions to help you declutter your home, check out this post.

13. Be intentional with the energy you consume

What kind of energy are you allowing into your life? Who’s social media feeds do you spend the most time looking at? What podcasts do you listen to and what books do you read? What kind of energy do you let in from your friends and family?

I think sometimes we mindlessly allow all kinds of different energy to come into our lives and take up space. That’s why setting boundaries can be really important. I recently stopped using Instagram and Snapchat and it feels good to no longer let that energy into my space. Sometimes we forget that we have the power to choose how we spend our energy.

So be intentional about who you spend my time with, the information you consume, and what you let bother you and get under your skin.

14. Bring awareness to your thoughts & self talk

What kind of beliefs do you hold about yourself? What kind of stories do you tell yourself? Maybe you tell yourself things like, “I’m not qualified enough to get that job” or “I’m too young to be successful”.

It’s so important to be intentional with our thoughts because our thoughts lead to our actions. Raise your vibration by being aware of negative self talk and intentionally trying to reframe those thoughts into more positive ones. Not only will it improve your energy, but also your self esteem and confidence!

 15. Do things that make you feel good

This one may sound obvious, but I’ve always loved the saying, “follow your bliss!” What activities make you feel good? What sets your soul on fire and fills you with passion and excitement? When do you feel truly alive? Whatever that is for you, do more of that! Follow your intuition and do the things you feel led and guided to do. Raise your vibration by doing what makes you feel good!
